Course Description:
This course is designed for participants that have a need to carry out gas testing of an atmosphere prior to entering a specific area or workspace. This course covers the skills and knowledge required to test the working atmosphere using electronic test apparatus to find out if it is safe to conduct the proposed work.

Course Content:

• Preparation for Gas Testing

• Use of Gas Testing equipment

• Understanding and demonstrating hazard reduction and risk assessment

• Understanding and monitoring atmospheric testing equipment

• Densities of Gases

Unit of Competency:
MSMWHS217 – Gas Test Atmospheres

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

• 18 years old

• Sound verbal and written comprehension of the English language is mandatory

• Enclosed shoes, long pants, long-sleeved shirt

• Two forms of identification one of which must be photo ID
