Introduction:
PERFORM RESCUE FROM A LIVE LV PANEL PLUS CPR
This course covers the procedure of rescuing someone from a live low voltage apparatus in the workplace (not including overhead powerlines or underground cables). Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is also covered as part of this course. Recommended for any persons working around live low voltage sources or those that may be required to act as an observer where the risk of electrocution may be present.Course Content
The course covers the following areas:• Hazards & risk control measures
• Identification of Electricity isolations points
• Tools and equipment for response and rescue
• Workplace procedures for accessing and isolating the LV panel and removing the victim
• Workplace procedures for applying Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Knowledge of Safe approach distances (SAD’s) appropriate to rescue
• Involvement of external emergency services
• Placement of rescue equipment
• Controlling hazards to rescuer, victim and others
• Practical demonstration of rescuing a person
• Removing victim to safe location/place of safety

- HLTAID001 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
RMS Entry Requirements
- 18 years old
- Sound verbal and written comprehension of the English language is mandatory
- Enclosed shoes, smart casual wear
- Must have physical requirements to conduct CPR at floor level (ie able to kneel down)
